Newtown Savings Bank

In the summer of 2003, mitchell architectural group, p.c. was commissioned by Newtown Savings Bank to design their corporate headquarters. The new 16,000 square foot office building was constructed adjacent to the existing main branch, which is located in Newtown's historic district. The vernacular of the district was maintained in the building's design and extensive detailing.

Concurrent with the construction of the corporate headquarters, the existing teller line was also renovated and expanded, and a drive-up ATM added. Site parking and circulation were then redesigned to allow for improved customer access. The overall project allowed Newtown Savings Bank to remain in its main street location while consolidating its operations within one facility.
